Although this venue is local to me, I didn’t ‘discover’ it until early in 2010. Unfortunately, it suffers from more than its fair share of boorish drunks who think they own the place, and the so-called ‘security’ has a tendency to be ‘over-zealous’, to put it mildly. Not the sort of place to visit unless you really want to see the band.

One of the first bands I saw here was The Informers, whom I first saw supporting Eddie and The Hot Rods in Esquires, Bedford.

Informers

Early in April 2010 Scandal gave us a rousing evening’s entertainment.

Scandal

Wired are ‘local’ again, at The Goat in Berkhamsted, complete with its resident know-all. Another good performance from the band, though.

Wired

Back at The Goat, Wired put on another impressive performance, despite having a member missing. The house was friendlier than usual, making it a good night out all round. (007: 21/1/2011)

I saw The Informers for the second time in a week, when they made a return visit to The Goat (009: 28/1/2011)

Wired at the Goat again - this time with a full squad. We had the drunks in again tonight, but ‘security’ soon discouraged further disruption, allowing the rest of us to enjoy the set. (014: 11/3/2011)
