The X-Certs have an enormous repertoire of well-known songs, so you’ll nearly always hear something new when you go to see them.
Still in January 2010, the night after TV Smith, I was in The Blacksmith’s Arms, St Albans to see The X-Certs. Their drummer, Steve, is also in Guitar Gangsters, whom I last saw in Dresden, also on the ETHR 2009 German tour. The rest of the Guitar Gangsters were also in the audience here.
In March 2010, I paid my first visit to The Red Lion in Biggleswade to see the boys.
June 2010: Sally celebrates a birthday at Danny’s Bar, with music supplied by The X-Certs.
The X-Certs play in a new venue for them (for me, too), The Black Horse, in Barnet. I guess whether it’s in Hertfordshire or London depends on who you’re trying to impress. A nice friendly venue, well suited to live music, with some street parking nearby. (005: 14/1/2011)
The X-Certs in one of their regular haunts - The Arena Tavern in Letchworth. I’ve been here a few times, too, but this is the first time I’ve taken any pictures. Sally & Alison lead the dancing. (017: 17/3/2011)
Another visit to The Black Horse in Barnet. (022:25/3/2011)
Sally’s Birthday. The X-Certs. Danny’s Bar. Great combination. (056: 5/6/2011)
Two for the price of one, as The X-certs play at The Arena in Letchworth (083: 25/8/2011), and The Red Lion in Biggleswade (086: 1/9/2011).
